La Genvrie is a traditional stone built house that is set in a wonderful location in the Loire between Angers and Bauge. The house is set high with magnificent views of unspoiled countryside, the house consists of three bedrooms upstairs, one with en-suite, full size bath, Jacuzzi, two sinks, and separate toilet, there are also two good size bedrooms, with bathroom, and separate toilet.
On the ground floor is a large lounge with wonderful solid oak beams, with the main feature being a grand tofu fireplace. The large kitchen has recently been refitted, hand built in wood and painted in a wonderful French green, it has an enormous amount of cupboard space with tiled work surfaces. There is also another room, which could be used as a dining room, or as a additional bedroom. Good size utility room also has a shower cubicle.
This house benefits from double-glazing throughout. The lounge has three sets of patio doors, electric shutters throughout, air-conditioning upstairs, with thermostatic controlled ceiling heating panels, central vacuum system, downstairs is fitted with electric wall heaters.
On one end of the house we have a large gazebo, fully tiled with slates to match the main roof. The gazebo is fully decked and this is where we have our bar, where we spend most of the summer, overlooking the large heated swimming pool, with separate Hot Tub / Jacuzzi, solar shower, and large patio area.
The Pool is 40ft long, 20ft wide, with steps leading into the pool. The deep end is 9ft deep. All the pool heating and filtration equipment is housed in the garage next to the Pool house.
When entering the gates of the house the drive splits into two, one leading to the Pool House, the other to La Genvrie, which has a lovely stone well in front of the house.
The Garden is set to grass, surrounded by trees, and, is completely fenced in, with wonderful views in all directions.
