The Loire valley in France is a beautiful Region of France with its balmy temperate climate, the region is full of history , and is famous for its wines and chateaux. French wine is famous and when you come to the Loire and taste the wines at a wine tasting or degustation as the French would say you will realise why. The Loire is not just for history or French Wine there are lots of other things to do. There is so much unspoiled countryside here and the wildlife is fantastic Just in the grounds of the three gites you can often see various different sorts of Deer, Hares, Rabbits, Foxes, Squirrels both Red and Grey, Hedgehogs, Pole cats to mention but a few the birds here are also fantastic. There are also plenty of things to do for children or the more adventurous of you. There are water sports at lake Rille such as swimming, Wind surfing, fishing, etc. There are Golf course's nearby and for the kids and the young at heart there is Futurescope. Obviously as the Loire Valley is vast there is a lot more than just what I have on this page to do and see it is unlikely you will be bored if you want a peaceful tranquil gite holiday, taste some French wine, view some attractions and generally enjoy the laid back life of the Loire Valley.
I am adding places to visit as I go but if I spent the rest of my life I doubt if I could cover every where in the region or give you adequate descriptions so just take the text I have wrote as a brief outline of these places and remember for every place I have on this site there must be thousands more (especially at the moment as I haven't had time to put much here at all).
